Happy New Year to all our members around the South West.

As we begin 2010, both leagues are hotting up and we're in store for some grand finales in the coming weeks. League results from League Weekend 6 can be found under "South West League ...." on the EKA website.  (updated 12/01/10).

The next Beginners Tournament takes place at Gloucester University (Cheltenham) this Saturday. Club entries should be submitted asap (updated 12/01/10).

Please also take a moment to study the Events Calendar which has had a few amends in terms of SWKA Open / Squad Training Sessions which will impact individuals (updated 12/01/10).

Arrangements are also afoot for the SWKA Annual Dinner and Awards, taking place following Super Saturday on 20 March. Clubs have been emailed to ascertain preference for format. Can clubs respond to Beth asap so that a suitable venue and arrangments can be made (updated 12/01/10).

Clubs are reminded to keep club distribution lists up-to-date so that, in turn, the SWKA mailing list reflects current members. Clubs are urged to create a "members@ .." mailing list and advise the SWKA Committee accordingly (updated 12/01/10).

Attentions must be drawn to a couple of websites that may be of use to you. There's the Korfball Forums which (with a big health warning) can provide a fest of info on what's going on in korfball in both the UK and around the globe. However, you do have to weed through the belly-aching whining and essays that people in the UK particularly feel they need to scribe (worth checking out just to see what some people get up to in the wee small hours of the morning!). The other is Korfball TV which shows some cracking play from the top level. Check them out.
