Exeter City Korfball Club is sponsored by two local firms.  WBW solicitors and Charles Stanley wealth managers.  Thanks to both firms for their generous sponsorship, which has allowed us to purchase some new kit.

Exeter Korfball Club has been running since 2003, and now fields two teams in the South West Korfball League. In the summer the sport moves outside with friendly tournaments being played within the south-west and further afield. We generally meet for training on Tuesday and Thursday evenings each week.
New players are always welcome (see link below for more details). Being a mixed sport, we're a sociable bunch and find plenty of  time for practicising our pub skills too...

Well done to Claire for making her debut in the SWKA team at the inter-areas tournament - the only non-Bristol member of the team! Great work by Rob too for reffing lots of the matches.

Congratulations to the first team for a well fought season in the regional league. They have avoided relegation and will be looking forward to another season of high quality korfball. Well done to all who played throughout the year - especially to Alan who won a MVP award  (and scored 50 goals this season).

Congratulations to the second team  in finishing top of SWKA2 this season and gaining promotion to SWKA1 for next year.  Well done to all those who have played in the team over the season and thanks for all the support from the rest of the club. Congratulations also to Rosie for being the highest scoring female in SWKA2 - 38 goals in 10 games - great work!

We had our usual fun Christmas party last night. Good food and plenty of silly games. There were also awards for Claire and Ian for having scored 100 goals each and Alan for having scored 300 goals during their time in the club. Great shooting!

The third team had a busy weekend with a friendly match against Exeter Uni on Friday evening followed by a tournament in Bristol on Saturday. It was good to see so many new people playing. Thanks to everyone who helped with the organisation.

Date added - 19th November 2017

The second team made a good start to the season with a win in Bristol today. Lets hope this winning form continues.

Thanks to all our coaches for all their hard work. Recently five of our coaches attended the English Korfball Associated EKA coaching CPD day in Birmingham with England team coaches. It was a really useful and informative day for the coaches and we are seeing the benefits our training sessions.

We have been awarded our accreditation status from the England Korfball Inspired scheme
It recognises the fact that we have certain policies and procedures in place and a framework for running the club. It has helped us review how we do certain things in the running of the Club and hopefully will ensure the future success of the Club!
Thank you to Lisa who has managed a lot of this work.

Date added - 22nd March 2017

The South West Korfball Association is holding a practical referee training session on the 11 March. This will be run by Paul Jeans, EKA and International referee. All existing referees, new refs, and prospective refs are welcome. We hope to send a good Exeter City contingent; speak to any of the coaches if you're interested.

Congratulations to two of our current and former members for making the Ireland national korfball squad. We believe this is the first international representation for ECKC! We wish them all the best for their upcoming training and tournaments.
